"We believe that Yoga should focus on how things feel more than how they look. Our mission is to make Yoga feel less intimidating and more accessible to everyone, regardless as to whether or not they can touch their toes, so that the benefits of Yoga can be felt by everyone"

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a widely practiced branch of yoga and can vary depending on the style of the teacher. The class will guide you through a variety of Asanas (poses), Pranayama (breathe control) and Dhyana (meditation) with the goal of bringing about a strong, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. The word Hatha हठ is the Sanskrit word for ‘Force’.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slower paced, more meditative version of yoga. The Asanas (poses) are held for a longer period (typically three to five minutes). This targets the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) rather than focusing on the muscles. As a result, the Asanas (poses) are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement, making it a great tool for stilling the mind.

Restorative Yoga

The aim of Restorative yoga is to relax as much as possible into the Asanas (poses), using very little physical effort.  During this, the mind focuses on the breath in order to encourage mindfulness and release tension from the body.  Restorative Yoga classes are intended to be relaxing and slow paced, with a class using as few as five or six Asanas (postures) which are held for longer periods of time.  Props are also used to allow the body to be in the most comfortable, supported positon possible.  It is perfect for anyone healing or struggling to do Hatha Yoga as it is floor based, so very little strength is needed.  Restorative Yoga is great for anyone suffering from injuries, chronic pain and depression.
